NYK is the world’s leader in global vehicle transportation service operation (RORO) with more than 120 high- tech vessels with a capacity of approximately 642,000 cars. Each vessel in NYK’s fleet is designed for maximum efficiency and safety. Our vessels can reach the highest speed, without endangering the cargo, offering maximum stowage capacity and a wide range of safety features to minimize any potential damage to the cargo.

Additionally, we transport project cargo, heavy lifts and other cargo that, due to volume or weight, cannot be handled in containers. NYK’s extensive RORO service allows our regular loads to accommodate new and used individual passenger cars, static cargo, cranes, boats and trailers (empty and loaded), among others.

RORO division customers dispatch to Chile from Asia, Europe and the United States, but also from the east and west coast of our continent. RORO’s industry is always changing therefore, our destinations also change. We are constantly developing new markets, meeting the needs of our customers in this evolving business.

Chile’s main market is the import business, however, taking advantage of the vessels deployed on our coast, since 2015 NYK Sud started the export service, which today has a wide variety of ports of destination.
